This is the Nepenthes inermis hybrid I acquired several months ago from Dean Cook; he grew it from collected seed. Clearly this is not pure N. inermis, but a hybrid of some sort. As I have noted before, the most likely contributing pollen parent is N. talangensis, which grows sympatric (in the same environment) with inermis. This plant sure is starting to resemble talangensis more and more as it develops. (I still place this hypothesis firmly in the realm of “hopeful speculation”.) This hybrid has previously been documented in the wild and is referred to as N. pyriformis. (If, indeed, that is what this plant is)
