“The Geinhouse”

Welcome to “The Geinhouse”*, my collection of insectivorous plants. The greenhouse is now dominated by far by the genus Nepenthes, pitcher plants from the tropics; Borneo, the Phillipines, Malaysia, Sulawesi, Sumatra.

*rhymes with “greenhouse”.

My experience in horticulture is varied and considerable. I spent a few years study commercial horticulture at the University of Guelph, and photography and design at the Ontario College of Art.

I doubt my grandmother knew just how much of an affect her gift of a home grown grapefruit tree would have on me when I was ten.

  1. Hi! I couldn’t find another way to contact you so I hope this is ok and works. I commented on your IG about wanting to tour your greenhouse and would be very interested if that is something I could do. I grow edible mushrooms and would like to start playing around with growing some nepenthes.
